On ‘100 Points out of 100’ singers BEAST and Mblaq had a dance battle with their group’s pride on the line.
On the show, aired on the 16th, BEAST and Mblaq’s main dancers Lee Kikwang and Lee Joon had a fiery dance battle. On this day, they tried a new game on the show called ‘When you go to 100 points out of 100’ that requires good memory and quick thinking. The participants have to perform an action according to the given theme. The next person has to repeat the previous action and do a new action.
The team members, trying out the show’s new corner showed competitiveness while playing. In the end, from each team, BEAST’s Lee Kikwang and Mblaq’s Lee Joon were the only ones left.
BEAST’s Lee Kikwang is not only the group’s main dancer, but with his outstanding dance skills, he was active as a back dancer and a solo artist. On the other hand, Mblaq’s Lee Joon graduated Seoul Arts High School as a dance major. Both show no slack when it comes to dancing.
For the final round, Lee Kikwang and Lee Joon both chose ‘dance’ as the theme, being most confident with dancing. They both brought out all their dance moves in order to win the game.
Even when they were in a nerve-racking situation, having to memorize the previous actions and execute another action, they both showed no mercy in the competition.
In the game, they both executed dance moves of high skill level such as acrobatics and back flips one after the other, exciting not only the other guests but all the staff members in the studio as well.

They have got together to participate in a photo shoot for the star style magazine to represent the donation project titled ‘HEART FOR EYE’ which is dedicated to the help blind kids see the bright new world.

In addition, everyone had dressed in the heart shirts for the meaning of “gathering all the hearts in one” showing off their closeness and made photo shoot seem like a big family picture. .
Meanwhile, BEAST’s Yoon Doojoon stated, “I am really happy that I was able to participate in this good cause. My eyes are really bad and I had to live with glasses from 3rd grade for about 10 years. It was really uncomfortable because I couldn’t even tell who was who without any glasses or lenses. I hope that young children will be able to find their happiness of seeing the world with their two eyes,” showing adoration towards this project. The motto for the project “HEART FOR EYE” was made with the thought of curing the eyes of the kids with the beauty of fashion and the money earned from the t shirt sales will be all donated to the Samsung Seoul Hospital for the curing of children with blindness.

In a recent newspaper interview, 4minute confessed "We're not close to idols who share the same age as ours. Even if we don't do it on a regular basis either, there are no friends with whom we'd promptly go out. We get friendlier with adults easily."
When we asked the reason why there wasn't any idol of the same age they were close to, 4minute answered "Because the songs we've promoted gave powerful vibes, we think it made us look rough." They intended to get closer to idols thanks to the staff's entourage but they explained that it wouldn't go further.
It can also be explained by the members' preferences : "Instead of forcing ourselves to hang out with people, we want to build relationships that last long, in a natural way". In fact, besides Hyunah, 4minute isn't a group that appears much on variety programs so the chances to create bonds naturally with celebrities are small.
This is why they got closer with Jung Hyungdon and Kim Yongman, the MCs of MBC Bouquet, a show on which they were fixed guests. The members said "It's easier for us to get friendly with adults and, when we're filming the show after a while, we get even closer and more comfortable with Jung Hyungdon and Kim Yongman."
They went on "The members can rely on one another and really trust each other, there is no one else of which we could think the same." They started to get chatty and expressed their wish "When people see us playing, they're surprised. They can see we're not rough. We want to get closer with fellow singers."
Meanwhile, 4minute released their first full-length album '4Minutes Left' on April 5th and are carrying out promotion activities for their two title tracks 'Mirror, Mirror' and 'Heart to Heart'. [NEWS] 4Minute will be featured on Thelma Aoyama's upcoming single
A rising Japanese artist, Thelma Aoyama, will be collaborating with 4Minute on her upcoming single for her title track officially entitled as "Without U."
This will be released this coming May and was announced to be released on different Asian countries such as South Korea, Taiwan and many more. The Asian Edition of the said album would have an English version of the song where 4Minute will be featured in.
On the other hand, the song: "Fallen Angel" was composed by a popular Korean composer, Brave Brothers, who also worked with various KPOP artists such as After School, UKISS, Brown Eyed Girls and Big Bang.

[NEWS] 4Minute's Kim HyunA wishes her mentally challenged fan all the best causing him to show big smiles
People were amused by Kim HyunA's fan who took a 600 kilometer-travel from Busan to Seoul just to meet his idol in person. Upon knowing this, HyunA gave him a surprise meet-up that eventually made him smile.
From April 20's broadcast of KBS 2TV, viewers were moved by how this fan's father supported his son on meeting his 4minute idol by walking all the way from Busan to Seoul despite of his son's mental disability.
According to Yijinseop, they can finally take some good rest after their month-long journey.
As soon as 4Minute's Kim HyunA knew that amongst other girl groups, it was them whom he chose to support that he even decided to visit them on their fansigning event despite of such circumstances, she immediately smiled and felt thankful for her ultimate fan.
As a sign of her gratitude, HyunA gave him an autographed album as a gift. She immediately gave him a warm embrace and did an impromptu photoshoot together with her fan.
When the fan was asked about his feelings, he immediately answered, "I was so delighted and it felt so good! I wish I'm not just dreaming," creating a warm atmosphere from the set as everyone laughed on his answer.
Later on, Kim HyunA gave her wishes to her ultimate fan and said, "I am really thankful that you came here to see us and I'm hoping that we could see each other again in the future. I was overwhelmed that you took so much time just to be able to come here and I was glad that you were not hurt. Please take good care of your health. The fact that the 4minute members use the bus to attend school caught the attention of netizens.
Except Kwon Sohyun, all the 4minute members are university students. They attend university by taking public transportation.
A representative revealed "Nam Jihyun, Heo Gayoon, Jeon Jiyoon and Kim Hyunah are currently university students. They attend school when they don't have any special scheduled activities and go there by using public transportation."
The reason why they're using public transportation to attend school lies in their agency's policy. Even if there's the fact that the members still don't have their personal car, the main reason is that the company doesn't provide car transportation to go to school. Because the members are all living together in the dorms, the company has no choice but to use a car to drive them for their common schedule.
The same representative communicated "Aside from underage people, our policy states that the celebrities under our company that are currently attending university won't use a car to go to school" and "Thus, they can figure out how it feels to live and endure the student life amidst a sea of people."

A video of 4minute's leader Jihyun elbowing her fellow groupmate Sohyun in the face has recently caught the attention of netizens.
In the afternoon of April 20th, 4minute's agency, CUBE Entertainment, released practice videos for 'Mirror, Mirror', among which one featured an incident.
At some part, Nam Jihyun, who is seen enthusiastically practicing the dance routine, elbowed Sohyun in the face while the latter was on her left.
Sohyun, who seemed to have been hurt pretty badly, held her head back and it's a surprised Jihyun who came to her and gave her a bear hug.
A representative of CUBE Entertainment reported "The staffers were also surprised at what happened and interrupted the filming" and "Fortunately, it wasn't a big injury. The members now laugh when they watch it again."

On April 20th, the Life Style Skincare brand Ariul released concept pictures of Hyunah's bare face. It is not the star idol Hyunah that can be seen but a bubbly and fresh 20er, posing without make-up and in a casual appearance.
Accordingly, Ariul is set to reveal the other 4minute members' appearances along with their cosmetic products.
An Ariul representative reported "For this shooting, in order to show each members' shiny fresh faces for a perfect photoshoot of bare-faced celebrities, we directed the shooting in a comfortable mood" and "You will soon get to see the 4minute members moisturizing their fresh faces, like true bare-faced beauties."

A showdown between sister groups, 4Minute and APink, will now unfold as both groups will start promoting their respective albums.
4Minute has finally made their successful comeback through their title track, "Mirror Mirror," after a long-year hiatus in the music industry, while their dongsaeng group, APink, consisting of 7 members, is already starting their steps towards success as they wait for the official day of their debut performances.
What makes people more interested about the possible showdown of these groups are their contradicting concepts, unique style and distinct image. As one of Korea's top-performing girl groups, 4Minute represents the powerful, fierce and charismatic image of women. With the fan expectations rising, how will BEAST plan their future?
─ You guys had the first solo concert in Seoul on December and an encore performance of that concert on February. How does it feel to have completed both of that?
Hyunseung: It was the best moment of my life that the dream I had since pre-debut came true. Even though it was hard trying to prepare for the concert and go through the schedules, I was happy practicing and imagining the stage. Thanks to the crowd that packed the stadium, I think that was the main reason why we were able to give all we had. But still there are parts that I would we could improve on and focus more one so I want to improve even more before the next performance.
Doojoon: Other than work, we basically spent the whole day in the gymnasium (laughs). Since it was the first concert we had to invest a lot of time into with our name on the line, we strongly thought that we had to show them the best stage so we couldn’t let out guard down. I still distinctly remember the moment with shouts loud enough to shake the stage as soon as the concert started,
Junhyung: It was really like a dream. I couldn’t really realize it when the concert stated, but when we stood in front of the many fans that came to see us, I was overwhelmingly happy and thankful.
Kikwang: As soon as the gathered fans screamed out our name, my feeling rose up in a second. After hearing that fans not just from Korea, but all of Asia, America, and Europe came, I was really touched.
─ It seems like that BEAST is a group very concerned about their live skills. How do you guys want to perform in the future?
Junhyung: Our biggest wish is to not lose the distinct color of BEAST and to show off a stage of our own with own charms that we molded and cleaned. It is important that we make a stage to return all your love and to make a stage that people will think “Of course, that’s BEAST” !
─ When did you guys realize that you guys were receiving a lot of love other than just the love from Korean fans?
Doojoon: We were surprised to see so many fans from other parts of Asia at the encore performance in February. They traveled the long way on purpose just to see us, and I thought that we had to show them the best stage without saving any sort of energy.
Dongwoon: When I see the fans greeting us at the airport whenever we have a performance overseas I realize it. I was also surprised when they were singing along with us when we were singing. Even outside of Asia, we get a lot of messages from fans in different countries through the internet and I’m really fascinated and thankful for it because sometimes the messages are from fans in countries we never visited. If we get the chance, I want to visit more countries.
─ At the concert the ‘I Like You the Best’ MV was released. It finally completed the story of the ‘Beautiful’ MV, but how did it feel filming at MV in a drama style?
Kikwang: Since it was the first MV with a set story, it was really fun. It had been a while since I wore the school uniform (laughs) and other than just a fight for the girl between Junhyung and me, I think that the viewers can also see the friendship of the two men who love music and dance. The main actor was me, but since Junhyung was a good actor, he was able to be spotted on the emotional scenes.
Hyunseung: I think we were able to show that BEAST can not only sing and dance, but act as well. The role I played was the role of the older sunbae (most experienced), I made a lot of NGs with laughing due to the heaviness of the lines (laughs).
Dongwoon: These two music videos remain in my mind particularly because we made it with the fans. Everyone was cold, but we were able to receive warm love from the fans who went out more than themselves and cared about us as well. Thanks to them, even thought the filming continued for a few days, we were able to handle it fine.
Thoughts toward the debut in Japan
─ The debut song『Shock!』is the memorable song that got you guys the first place for the first time in Korea.

Kikwang: The title is『Genesis of Beast』. In this DVD, the story of each member from the days of early debut times until now. It starts from the time we first got into CUBE and watching the story following after, I thought of many things as well (laughs). I believe that anyone can do it if they give everything they got and not lose the initial goal in mind.

It was the first MV that we presented to the Japanese fans who have been waiting our debut for a long time, so we filmed it with a new goal in mind.
Junhyung: The CUBE family ski resort videos of pre debut and the videos that have not been revealed is there as well, so people should be able to enjoy it!
─ What kind of event was the showcase that was held in Japan on November for you guys?
Yoseob: I still can remember the screams and shouts I heard. Also, I was really touched by word making event before the showcase. I heard that many people waited for a long time preparing the event despite the cold weather. Watching the fans from the helicopter was really an amazing sight. In particular, I was really touched after hearing that there was a fan that participated in the word making in a wheel chair. I want to use this time to thank her once again!
Dongwoon: I think of it as a good experience having the first showcase on that big stage with that big cluster of fans. I was really happy when they started to sing along as well! I gained confidence from singing in front of everyone cheering fervently and made a determination that I had to work even harder.
Junhyung: Singing along to the song was one thing, but I was really surprised to see them sing along with perfect cheer sounds in between (laughs).

They work really hard which makes me wonder if they know everything about us, but then they already knew our personalities from variety programs as well! But I think it really sweet that they are willing to love us for who we are. And before, I watched a video where a group copied our dance and they were really good. I was really happy to know that we were getting loved.

Doojoon: I am just really thankful for the constant love towards us. And finally the time has come for us to return that love! Thanks to you guys we were able to start well with our Japanese debut single in second place on the Oricon chart. We won’t let go of this opportunity and work hard!

The thankful hearts and dream for the fans
2011 March 16th, the『SHOCK』album released in Japan,
was able to record the highest as the K-POP group’s debut song.
With the fan expectations rising, how will BEAST plan their future?
─ You guys had the first solo concert in Seoul on December and an encore performance of that concert on February. How does it feel to have completed both of that?
Hyunseung: It was the best moment of my life that the dream I had since pre-debut came true. Even though it was hard trying to prepare for the concert and go through the schedules, I was happy practicing and imagining the stage. Thanks to the crowd that packed the stadium, I think that was the main reason why we were able to give all we had. But still there are parts that I would we could improve on and focus more one so I want to improve even more before the next performance.
Doojoon: Other than work, we basically spent the whole day in the gymnasium (laughs). Since it was the first concert we had to invest a lot of time into with our name on the line, we strongly thought that we had to show them the best stage so we couldn’t let out guard down. I still distinctly remember the moment with shouts loud enough to shake the stage as soon as the concert started,
Junhyung: It was really like a dream. I couldn’t really realize it when the concert stated, but when we stood in front of the many fans that came to see us, I was overwhelmingly happy and thankful.
Kikwang: As soon as the gathered fans screamed out our name, my feeling rose up in a second. After hearing that fans not just from Korea, but all of Asia, America, and Europe came, I was really touched.
─ It seems like that BEAST is a group very concerned about their live skills. How do you guys want to perform in the future?
Junhyung: Our biggest wish is to not lose the distinct color of BEAST and to show off a stage of our own with own charms that we molded and cleaned. It is important that we make a stage to return all your love and to make a stage that people will think “Of course, that’s BEAST” !
─ When did you guys realize that you guys were receiving a lot of love other than just the love from Korean fans?
Doojoon: We were surprised to see so many fans from other parts of Asia at the encore performance in February. They traveled the long way on purpose just to see us, and I thought that we had to show them the best stage without saving any sort of energy.
Dongwoon: When I see the fans greeting us at the airport whenever we have a performance overseas I realize it. I was also surprised when they were singing along with us when we were singing. Even outside of Asia, we get a lot of messages from fans in different countries through the internet and I’m really fascinated and thankful for it because sometimes the messages are from fans in countries we never visited. If we get the chance, I want to visit more countries.
─ At the concert the ‘I Like You the Best’ MV was released. It finally completed the story of the ‘Beautiful’ MV, but how did it feel filming at MV in a drama style?
Kikwang: Since it was the first MV with a set story, it was really fun. It had been a while since I wore the school uniform (laughs) and other than just a fight for the girl between Junhyung and me, I think that the viewers can also see the friendship of the two men who love music and dance. The main actor was me, but since Junhyung was a good actor, he was able to be spotted on the emotional scenes.
Hyunseung: I think we were able to show that BEAST can not only sing and dance, but act as well. The role I played was the role of the older sunbae (most experienced), I made a lot of NGs with laughing due to the heaviness of the lines (laughs).
Dongwoon: These two music videos remain in my mind particularly because we made it with the fans. Everyone was cold, but we were able to receive warm love from the fans who went out more than themselves and cared about us as well. Thanks to them, even thought the filming continued for a few days, we were able to handle it fine.

[NEWS] 4Minute will be part of a charity concert in Japan
Far Eastern Tribe Records has confirmed 4Minute's appearance to a charity concert in Japan to be attended with other popular KPOP artists such as TVXQ and 2PM.
The concert was entitled: "Seoul-Osaka Music of Heart 2011 FIGHTING JAPAN!" Its proceeds would be used in support of the recovery of Japan's most affected areas and other reconstruction assistance. 35, 000 fans are expected to attend the said event to be held at Osaka Dome this coming June 7, 2011.

[NEWS] 'Nano Ankle' Gayoon's slim secrets revealed!
4minute has recently been praised for becoming gorgeous by netizens, and they're hearing various praise across the web. The members have shown long legs and slim looks on their album jacket.
In preparation for their hot comeback, the girls followed stringent guidelines to lose weight and manage their bodies. They stuck with a strict diet that left them just a fraction of their previous sizes.
"We are not a group who eats like this is a cattle shed. We make sure we only eat things that are very low-calorie and ignore all diet trends. In order to overcome any predisposition to fat we put lots of effort into staying slim and sexy," said HyeonAh.
Among the 4minute members, Gayoon is known as "nano-ankle" because even a small woman's hand can wrap around her ankles easily.
"My ankles just never grew [fat], and because of my tall stature, they're pretty small. In fact, at 210mm, they're smaller than most elementary school students' ankles," commented the sexy siren.
Not only her slim legs and arms have her fellow members jealous, but Gayoon's tight butt as well. To get Gayoon's firm buns, all one needs is a single chair.
"Lay down by the chair and put your feet on it, and with your legs, raise yourself repeatedly in order to strengthen the muscles of the butt. It's really effective. And it's nice because you can read a book or watch TV while doing it."

On the 18th, Monkey3 released their weekly chart and the club banger has been announced as the #1 song for the 2nd week of April (from the 11th to the 17th).

4Minute's Kwon Sohyun's shot with the famous singer, Huh Gak, who is now officially part of the same agency 4Minute is under with, became a hot topic.
