[NEWS] Hyunah's thoughts towards becoming an adult

May 21^st is Coming of Age day in South Korea, and many idols are maturing into adults that day. Wonder Girls' Sohee, Girl's Day's Yura, SISTAR's Soyou, INFINITE's L, TEEN TOP's C.A.P, and 4minute's Hyunah are only some of the idols who are transitioning into adulthood.

4minute's Hyunah revealed her thoughts towards becoming an adult: "I want to become a mature adult who will fulfill my responsibilities diligently. I was shocked that my parents wanted to celebrate Coming of Age Day. Rather than attempting things I've never tried before, I want to focus on areas I'm experienced in."

When reporters asked if Hyunah had received any gifts, she responded: "I received flowers, perfume, and bags from my fans. I also want to celebrate Coming of Age Day in a cafe with my members."

Also, recently on MBC's Show! Music Champion, a survey was conducted to see which idol had the most kissable lips. In the survey, the faces of the idols were not shown and only the lips were exposed. In the end, it was Hyunah won first place in the female division, while INFINITE's L won first place in the male category.

[NEWS] 4minute disappointed in promotion results, vow to solidify group color

4minute has formally ended promotions for "VOLUME UP" on last week's on SBS's Inkigayo.

4minute came back after a year with their album, releasing on April 9. The group that is currently in their 4th year and are focusing on solidifying their place. This time, their comeback was challenged by rival group Sistar, who came the same week 4minute did. But 4minute their sexiness to differentiate themselves from Sistar, showing off strong charisma and planting the image in the minds of the public that, "This is 4minute."

And before one knew it, the group reappeared on stage with these promotions, transforming into a senior group full of abundance and showing a strong stage performance.

However, there naturally remains some dissatisfaction. The girls were safely able to snag the top spot on various online music download sites, but results on music programs were not quite as good. Though they won on Mnet's M! Countdown and MBC's Music Show Champion, they weren't able to savior victory on any other show. This aroused some questions in the general public.

A Cube Entertainment representative said, "More than the popularity of this one particular album, we are focused on positioning the girls for the future. We're looking at long-term plans." He continued, "We want to focus on doing things only 4minute can do, showing a powerful stage performance and good singing, and strengthening the colors of 4minute."

4minute will continue on doing individual dramas, entertainment shows, song compositions and overseas activities.

Nam Jihyun's father shows 4minute some love.

On the 17th, Jihyun posted a picture on twitter with the caption, "My dad has started social networking. Suddenly it was a rainy day."

The photo is a screen capture of a smartphone messaging app. Her dad received a lot of attention because in his profile it says, "4minute love, country love" with a picture of 4minute. Jihyun's father sensibly expressed 4minute as "4minute" and attached a heart showing his endless love for 4minute.

[NEWS] 4minute and staff prepare a surprise party for Gayoon

Heo Gayoon of girl group 4minute was touched by her surprise birthday party.

On the 18th, 4minute was found in Seoul, Yeouido at the KBS Hall for the broadcast of Music Bank. A birthday song was let out in the waiting room at Music Bank as Gayoon was met with a surprise party that was put together.

Gayoon's fans sent her birthday messages, prepared lunchboxes and the staff prepared a cake. The 4minute members wore big smiles as they wished Gayoon a happy birthday.

After her birthday party Gayoon said, "Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday. Especially since today is our last broadcasting, I'm even more touched," and "I will work harder in the future so I can repay everyone's love."

Also, on April 9th 4minute released their third mini album "Volume Up" and recieved a lot of love from fans.
