Except Kwon Sohyun, all the 4minute members are university students. They attend university by taking public transportation.


A representative revealed "Nam Jihyun, Heo Gayoon, Jeon Jiyoon and Kim Hyunah are currently university students. They attend school when they don't have any special scheduled activities and go there by using public transportation."

The reason why they're using public transportation to attend school lies in their agency's policy. Even if there's the fact that the members still don't have their personal car, the main reason is that the company doesn't provide car transportation to go to school. Because the members are all living together in the dorms, the company has no choice but to use a car to drive them for their common schedule.


The same representative communicated "Aside from underage people, our policy states that the celebrities under our company that are currently attending university won't use a car to go to school" and "Thus, they can figure out how it feels to live and endure the student life amidst a sea of people."

He added "We decided to apply this rule because the young members are still developing their character." and "The members are attending school in plain clothes and with their bare faces."


Still, Kwon Sohyun is driven to school by the company. It is because a lot of fans are crowded at her school and that it is not secure for Kwon Sohyun, as a young highschool student, to attend school using public transportation.

A video of 4minute's leader Jihyun elbowing her fellow groupmate Sohyun in the face has recently caught the attention of netizens.

In the afternoon of April 20th, 4minute's agency, CUBE Entertainment, released practice videos for 'Mirror, Mirror', among which one featured an incident.

At some part, Nam Jihyun, who is seen enthusiastically practicing the dance routine, elbowed Sohyun in the face while the latter was on her left.

Sohyun, who seemed to have been hurt pretty badly, held her head back and it's a surprised Jihyun who came to her and gave her a bear hug.

A representative of CUBE Entertainment reported "The staffers were also surprised at what happened and interrupted the filming" and "Fortunately, it wasn't a big injury. The members now laugh when they watch it again."

On the same day, the practice video of their changed dance routine for 'Mirror, Mirror' - the one that includes the wave or so-called "ski dance" - was also uploaded. In the video, the 4minute members are seen wearing comfortable clothes.

In the last scene, Hyunah says "Please be considerate" in a cute way.

In a recent photoshoot, 4minute's Hyunah paraded her good looks that don't need any photo editing.

On April 20th, the Life Style Skincare brand Ariul released concept pictures of Hyunah's bare face. It is not the star idol Hyunah that can be seen but a bubbly and fresh 20er, posing without make-up and in a casual appearance.

Accordingly, Ariul is set to reveal the other 4minute members' appearances along with their cosmetic products.

An Ariul representative reported "For this shooting, in order to show each members' shiny fresh faces for a perfect photoshoot of bare-faced celebrities, we directed the shooting in a comfortable mood" and "You will soon get to see the 4minute members moisturizing their fresh faces, like true bare-faced beauties."

When asked about the anticipated battle between the groups, representatives from CUBE and A CUBE Entertainment answered, "The gap between their debut as well as their image or concept is very different so it's pretty hard for us to see them as real competitors. Nevertheless, 4Minute is doing very well with their recently released album, APink has been garnering a lot of interests too from the public. Both groups prepared so much for their releases and seeing both groups doing well is a real good sight for us."
