[NEWS] Powerful 4Minute VS. Innocent APink - A battle between sister groups: "We'll not lose!"

A showdown between sister groups, 4Minute and APink, will now unfold as both groups will start promoting their respective albums.

4Minute has finally made their successful comeback through their title track, "Mirror Mirror," after a long-year hiatus in the music industry, while their dongsaeng group, APink, consisting of 7 members, is already starting their steps towards success as they wait for the official day of their debut performances.

What makes people more interested about the possible showdown of these groups are their contradicting concepts, unique style and distinct image. As one of Korea's top-performing girl groups, 4Minute represents the powerful, fierce and charismatic image of women. On the other hand, APink claims an innocent and pure image that has been hard to find in Korea's music industry for quite some time.

People find it amusing that these contrasting groups would finally make their "face-off," showing off their power and innocence to their audience.

APink is under A CUBE Entertainment, a branch of 4Minute's agency, CUBE Entertainment. APink's members had their trainee days under CUBE Entertainment and finally transferred to A CUBE right after their debut preparations has been announced. CUBE Entertainment's President and 4Minute's Producer, Hong Seongsung, took responsibility over APink's debut album while A CUBE's President, Choi Jinho, helped Hong Seonsung in launching 4Minute. Officials from both agencies said, "Both groups have a family-like relationship."

When asked about the anticipated battle between the groups, representatives from CUBE and A CUBE Entertainment answered, "The gap between their debut as well as their image or concept is very different so it's pretty hard for us to see them as real competitors. Nevertheless, 4Minute is doing very well with their recently released album, APink has been garnering a lot of interests too from the public. Both groups prepared so much for their releases and seeing both groups doing well is a real good sight for us."
